My work reflects upon the use of make-up on women and how it essentially acts as a mask, hiding true beauty. By using a collaboration of newspapers, used make-up wipes and a variety of ‘everyday’ make-up, this piece aims to give viewers an insight into the effort some women go to in order to feel ‘beautiful’.
I wanted my piece to be site specific, so by using newspapers as the main structure, it reflects on how some people may choose to protect their belongings whilst placed in storage.
